Port de Portocolom

Peace and relaxation in Mallorca's largest natural harbor: Port de Portocolom is located on the southeast coast of the island, far away from mass tourism. The original charm of the fishing port is completely devoid of ostentation. Portocolom offers the ideal antithesis to the exciting and noisy Palma. As you stroll from the quiet harbor through the tranquil alleyways of the old town, you will learn to love the quiet side of Mallorca.

SHOPPING

The historic old town of Portocolom stretches around the harbor area. Small boutiques with unique souvenirs and Mallorcan fashion beckon here. Felanitx is just a few minutes' drive away. This special place is famous for its glass and ceramic products. Another highlight: the regional wines and spirits from local production.

EVENTS

Live concerts, outdoor theater and gourmet events: the municipality of Felanitx always celebrates the patron saint's festival of Sant Augustí for two weeks in August. There are new, exciting attractions every year: From the traditional firewalk to the swellhead parade, from cake tasting to the grand fireworks display, the varied program delights visitors from near and far. On June 16, locals and tourists celebrate the fishermen's festival in Portocolom in honour of Saint Carmen. The procession is worth seeing for everyone.

SIGHTSEEING AND ACTIVITIES

Around Portocolom, sun worshippers will find picturesque spots for a refreshing dip in the Mediterranean sun. In addition to the picturesque Cala Marcal bay, there are two popular beaches opposite the harbor bay. Our tip for a day trip: the 14th century fortress ruins of Castell de Santueri. On a clear day, you can enjoy spectacular views of the neighboring islands of Menorca and Ibiza.

The nightlife in Portocolom is tranquil: the focus here is on relaxation. Excellent restaurants and charming bars offer the perfect setting for cozy evenings in good company.
